About the Event

Join Katie and Alicia as they share thier biggest passions to you, with the intension of  creating and afternoon of healing, fun, expression and community.

Katie will guide you through a gentle Hatha Yoga practice that is designed to be inclusive to all, regardless of age gender, physical ability or social background.

Using simple physical and meditation techniques to guide you deep into your creative centre of the Sacral Chakra.

The sacral chakra is located in the pelvic, with gentle and sensual movement we will target the lower back, hips, & lower abdomen, freeing stagnant energy, allowing you to tune into your emotions, and giving you the confidence to feel & express your truth.

Transitioning from our Yoga practice into the Art Therapy session.

Art therapy is a psychotherapy that uses the creative process to encourage self-expression and, in doing so, find new ways to gain personal insight and develop new coping skills. Unlike verbal therapies, the individual interacts with materials, tools and the body are involved in creating. Therefore, the images help us to understnad who we are, to express feelings, experiences, and give them a way to tell their story when words are not enough.

It dos'nt matter what age you are and whatever your skills are, you can benefit from Art therapy. If you want to get in touch with your creative soul, this workshop invites you to create art together. No matter how long your haven't been creating, thats a good opportunity, as no prior experience is needed! All the art material is included in the price of the workshop.

About Alicia:

Alicia is a qualified art therapist and primary teacher currently working in a Special Education School in the South of Dublin and starting her career as an art therapist in Ireland.

Alicia began her studies in Primary Education in 2012 in Spain. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, and two years working as an art educator in a contemporary art gallery and being fascinated by human psychology, she followed her studies in Grefart. It is an Art Therapy training institute that provides an Art Therapy MA and, it is an associated member of the European Federation of Art Therapy (EFAT), which aims to unite professional art therapy associations in Europe.
